It is official….I have become a 47 year old wimp!\u00a0 yesterday brought a forecast of temperatures in the upper 90’s….nearing the 100 degree mark with high humidity levels. I prepared myself all morning, Telling myself, it won’t be soo bad!\u00a0 I’ve been around hot weather, and high humidity all my life, after all I’m from Indiana…where Humidity was invented.\u00a0 But yesterday every time I walked outside…..Mother Nature smacked me up-side the head and said..You won’t last until you get the car door open….if you make it that far!\u00a0 She was right.\u00a0 I just could not get over how hot is was…down right miserable!\u00a0 But as the day wore on, I began to notice I was the only one talking about how hot is was.\u00a0 Everything I talked about, or did revolved around “the heat”. \u00a0 Was I the only one effected by the heat?<\/p>\n
This morning I could not wait to check the day time high for Monday.\u00a0 94 degrees!\u00a0 Wait a minute…..94 degrees?\u00a0 That was it?\u00a0 I spent almost every waking hour the day before complaining about 94 degrees?\u00a0 I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed that it was “only” 94 degrees.\u00a0 It dawned on me, I have become soft!\u00a0 That’s right…..soft!\u00a0 Looking back to last week, I was complaining about highs in the mid 80’s!\u00a0\u00a0 I have allowed myself to make sure I am surrounded by man made controlled climate for as many hours a day as possible!\u00a0 One of the stereotypes of a radio announcer….sitting in an air conditioned studio, drinking coffee, listening to music and talking about nothing.\u00a0 Total comfort!\u00a0 Well, things are going to change…We all need to feel a little discomfort in our lives so we can know and\u00a0 appreciate the really nice days we are given! I’m making a change starting with the thermastat on the wall.\u00a0 Going to bump it up a couple of degrees and spend more time outdoors!!!!!<\/p>\n
But not today……it’s supposed to be in the upper 90’s again!<\/p>\n
